An action research proposal is one which outlines the main plans of implementing and executing an action research project. An action research project is one in which the project managers gather data, examine it and then unearth important findings from that data. Action research is a methodological field and any sphere can be subjected to an action research proposal.

Nature of research proposal: Education Action Research Proposal
Action research proposal to be carried out by: Mrs. Tina Gomes, associate teacher of English, classes six to twelve, Green Park High School.
Purpose of this action research project:
- This project and the consequent proposal aim at underlining the importance of the grading system in schools. The project will focus both on its pros and cons through an interaction between students, teachers and parents.
- The project will be a hands-on one with extensive participation by the students. They will be required to send out feedback forms and gather data which will then be processed. The necessary graphs and charts will be made after the collection of data and the findings will be presented in an appropriate manner.
- This findings obtained will be presented in the upcoming seminar of Church Schools. This will be a significant step in analyzing the merits and demerits of the current grading systems and it will initiate a call for reform of flawed areas.
Expected time of completion of action research project: June 2011
Funds needed: $3000 obtained from donations made by the staff and students of the school. If the project is approved the cost will be reimbursed by Board of Management, Church Schools.
