Sample Education Proposal Letter:

To,

Jason McNally

Head of Grants Commission

University Grants Commission

New York.

Date: 4th April, 2011

Subject: Appeal for the granting of funds

Respected sir,

This letter is meant to convey our humble request for the honor of being granted the Charles Lambert Trust Fund. We, at The Alpine Institution (New York) are an extremely dedicated and skilled bunch of professors who have taken on the task of educating underprivileged children in the ghettoes of the city. We believe that pour dedication shall pay off and we take great pride in the future well being of our wards.

However, due to a sever lack of funds, our efforts often go awry. Since we are not a conventional school, we find it difficult to appeal for government funds. There is little knowledge and even lesser awareness about the running and daily hassles of a non-profit organization like ours. We hope that you will consider us worthy of this prestigious grant.

We have over two hundred students drawn from the various ghettoes around the city. They will be benefitted immensely from the money this grant will provide.

We hope to hear from you soon. Thanking you,

Jack Rogers,

Principal,

The Alpine Institute

New York.
