A job offer counter proposal is a document which is written by a candidate after he has received a job offer from a company but is not satisfied with the terms or remuneration offered. He thus creates a counter proposal where he respectfully proposes that although he is looking forward to joining the company, he would prefer certain changes in the offer. You can ask for more salary, perks, changes in work hours etc. But make sure you are not overdoing it and are not asking for something to exorbitant because that will put off the recruiter and may ruin of chance of retaining the job.

  • My current job pays me $5,000 and I would like to get at least $6,000, instead of $5,750 to make a jump from my current company
  • The industry salary at this post and with my qualifications is $6,000-$6,300
  • I have the right experience for this job and would like you to consider the terms again.
